Bandits Storm Kagarko Community In Kaduna, Shoot, Abduct Several Residents

Bandits suspected to be terrorists have attacked Janjala Village in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, injuring one resident and abducting an unspecified number of villagers during a midnight raid.

SaharaReporters gathered that the attack occurred at about 12:30am on March 2, when the heavily armed assailants stormed the farming community.

A security expert, Zagazola Makama, confirmed the incident, citing local sources.

According to him, two residents of the community, Yusuf Abdulwahab and Idris Ahmed, reported the attack at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Kagarko.

They also brought along a 25-year-old victim, Shamsu Adamu, who sustained a gunshot wound to the stomach during the invasion.

“The victim was immediately rushed to the General Hospital, Kagarko, for medical attention,,” the source disclosed.

Following the report, a joint security team comprising police operatives, other security agencies, and local vigilante groups was mobilised to the area.

“The bushes around the community were combed in an effort to rescue the kidnapped victims and apprehend the perpetrators,” the source added.

As of the time of filing this report, efforts to apprehend the perpetrators and secure the safe release of those kidnapped were ongoing.
